Appearance on Land: Mercury looks pretty normal for the most part. Everywhere he has tattoos though (base of neck, left arm, down his side from his ribs to his left ankle) has fish-like, blue-shaded scaling. His ears have also been replaced with Vaporeon-like ears.

Appearance in Water/When Wet: Mercury's skin takes on a bluer tinge and his legs are replaced with a leafy sea dragon-like tail. From the elbow down, his arms have the same blue scaling that sits under his tattoos and his hands have a more claw-like appearance.

[ Starts swimming toward shore, though he does slow a bit as he. Considers. ]

[he is suddenly dubious]

[shoves a hand in Mercury's face]

It's just on the cheek! And you're wet anyway!

Forehead only. Cheek makes me feel like I'm some kind of baby.

[ ALMOST SAYS IT but holds his tongue. ]

Okay, okay. Ready to get dunked?

[SMART MAN]

Ready as a cat will ever be to get dunked.

[his ears lie flat on his head]

[ He does feel a bad at seeing how sad wet cat Mars looks, so he does it quick. Slipping them both into the water, quickly kissing Mars on the forehead before popping them back up. ]

There, all done.

[it's okay Mars brought this on himself. sputtering a little when they surface, ears flicking to clear away some water droplets]

Okay, okay! That's enough! Let me back to dry land now.

[ Laughing. ]

I think it's refreshing.

[ But swimming them over to shore now, brushing away some of the water carefully off Mars' ears. ]

That's because you're part-fish.

[. . . . . . it's like he's being pet again. . . . he's sulking but he doesn't actually mind the pressure against his ears]

Guilty.

[ Setting Mars on shore, leaning himself onto land to brush off the heavy drops of water from Mars' shoulders. ]

Make sure you dry off quick? Maybe there's some towels nearby...

[lashes his tail to clear some of the water from his fur, giving a whole body shake that isn't quite like a dog but close]

There had better be.

And if I get a cold from this, I'm blaming you.
